This is a great case except for the fact that you can't put.

This is a great case except for the fact that you can't put a proper padlock on it. The only thing that will fit are TSA baggage locks which are not legal for flying. When you put a weapon in your checked bag it must, by regulation, be locked with a NON-TSA lock that you retain control of the key or combination for at all times. The point of this is that TSA may open your bag again for a ''random'' check when you aren't present and no one should have direct access to the weapon. So if you want a general purpose case for your home or car that you do not need to securely lock this could serve you well. But I must reiterate and emphasize- DO NOT BUY THIS CASE FOR AIR TRAVEL!!Oh. and learn from my mistake- don't customise the pick and pluck foam before you see if your lock fits. FML

This case is perfect for my Walther PPK/S! It fits my PPK/S as well as 2 extra magazines and a good size silencer. I could even fit another PPK/S in here if I removed the 2 mags and silencer. I would recommend this to anyone with a small size firearm that they wish to transport in something that is durable, well made, light, and easy to transport. It also meets TSA requirements for those who were wondering. I use this thing for everywhere I go to transport my firearm until I can get my conceal carry license.

What can i say, the case feels solid and it looks incredible after finely shaping the pull outs/ cut outs for my stuff with an Xacto knife. To give you an idea of the size, I have my Glock 42, a ammo package insert that holds 20rds of. 380, a spare mag with the finger extension, a gerber covert knife, a gerber impromptu pen (all generously spaced) and I still have 1/4 of the space left.

Ok Case, but not typical Pelican Quality

First, let me say I have three or four Pelican cases, and they've all been top notch. This case on the other hand, is just ok in my opinion. As some have mentioned, the pick-n-pluck insert is on the stiff side, and even seems like there is a coating on the very top, making the foam even stiffer. This might make ''plucking'' the foam hard for some, which might lead to undesirable results. I had a hot wire foam cutter that I used, and it worked fine. I've never been a fan of the pick-n-pluck foam, as the pieces are cut in small squares, and obviously the gun is not a square, so it aways comes out looking like crap (again highly recommend the hot wire foam cutter for these types of tasks). My problem lies in the fact. the case is not very deep, and thus the gun/mags don't sit very deep into the foam. This lead to (at least in my situation), there being small gaps on the side of the case. These gaps obviously don't make for a water-tight seal, and thus the ''waterproof'' aspect of this case is lost. I don't plan on submerging my pistol in water, but if they are claiming it's supposed to be water-tight, then I would expect it to be. Again, I love Pelican cases, and will buy more in the future, but this particular case is not up to the level of quality that I've been accustomed to from the Pelican brand.
