So much better than YETI, Pelican delivers on an amazing product as always.

I absolutely love this product. I own many tumblers and luxury coolers including several YETI products. At twice the price, my YETI doesn't come close to the high level of performance my Pelican provides. The proof of quality can be felt in the weight of this product. This bad boy is HEAVY!!!My work keeps me constantly on the road. When I make a stop, I don't have to worry that my ice will melt, even when I leave it for several hours in harsh Florida climates. On several occasions i've left this in my car when I arrive home in the evenings. The next morning theres still ice left!!If you're drinking a hot beverage like tea or coffee, be careful. It's going to stay just as hot as when you filled it up for a few hours at the minimum. The lid preforms very well. Yes if you turn it over and a small steady stream will seep out. But with that you gain the ability to remove the slide for cleaning which is a god send for cleaning. Its threaded which creates a super secure bond. be careful not to overtighten because you will have a hell of a time getting it off. With a lot of similar products there is an annoying hissing when you're drinking the contents, especially with carbonated beverages. I don't know how Pelican was able to stop this from happening but you can bet that this small annoyance will be a thing of the past. This product is also extremely attractive. I get compliments a few times a week. As far as I am concerned, this is the Rolex of tumblers; The best of the best. At an amazing price too! I wouldn't think twice about buying another.

Solid and well built. I have Yeti, Members Mark and now Pelican. I prefer the screw on lid and slide top. Silicone o-rings are nice but over time they get loose. I will return after s time and report how this lid responds to normal wear and tear. Personally I like the Pelican best out of the box. The lip on the lid has a generous sip section that makes drinking easier. The lid is not waterproof but better than a simple open hole. True, less pieces is a better option. However, I have been known to spill things and the teadeoff is worth it if it means less mess and clean up. The taller profile of the tumbler itself is nice. All three of the tumblers fit into cup holders fine. Which hold x amount of ice for a set number of hours? I'll let the internet fight over that. I can say I don't let the ice melt in mine as I drink it too quickly. I will say that when drinking bulletproof coffee with MCM oil, the oil on top keeps the heat in TOO well. If the coffee is already pretty hot it stays in that state for so long I have to pour it out to cool as I leave the oil unmixed. . Hours. No kidding. Do I have s video of scientific proof? No. But I do have a burned tongue. Which is good enough for me. YMMV.

YETI KILLER

I own 3 yeti tumblers, 1 rtic, 1 titan, 1 ozark trail, 1 corkcicle, and now this PELICAN. The Pelican is the best one by far! The top has a slider to lock out spillage, and the top screws on rather than just a pressure fit with gasket. I like this pelican the best and will be buying more of these and ditching the rest. Pelican has invented a better mousetrap when it comes to the stainless steel tumbler market. Oh I recently bought one of their elite coolers that rival the YETI. I LOVE IT! PELICAN has been in the rotomodling biz far longer than YETI or these other hacks. They are also all Manufactured here in the USA and sold at a lower price point than yetis overseas manufactured overpriced coolers. If you want awesome products and aren't a yeti sheep buy a product from a company who actually innovates and manufactures here in usa. Yetis are not bad, they are just perceived valuable by all the hype. Yeti is man bling, like a louis vuitton is to a woman, the yeti is to a man. The pelican is the better product if integrity is something you value!

High quality. No interior seams, interesting but functional lid

I have a lot of these style tumblers. My favorite thing about this specific tumbler, is the interior has NO seams. On all my others that have seams, they can get nasty stuff in those seams. It just has a higher probability of issues. I've dented some of the interiors just by adding ice from my fridge ice maker. This one has been solid so far. It's got no dents on the inside from ice. I haven't really beaten the thing up yet though so I don't know how well the exterior will hold up. There are two seams on the exterior which I personally don't mind. The lid is interesting. I've never seen one like it. It's got a large lip on the section you drink out of and a slider to open or close the drinkin' hole. It's not sealed up so much that you can just toss it in a bag and expect it not to leak. but it's nice to be able to close it and keep bugs out of whatever you're drinking. The lid actually screws on, so there's no silicone/rubber seal, which I like because for me, that's very hard to keep properly clean. Product is designed in the USA, but actually made in China. I actually thought all pelican products were made in the USA but I guess I was thinking of some other brand. I've only kept cold drinks in this, but it keeps ice pretty well. I put ice and water in it one night and then forgot about it. When I came back to it late the next day it still had a good amount of ice in it and the water was nice and cold still obviously. Now I just dump cold water into it and by the time I'm finished with it, the water is still cold so I've got no complaints. I got the silver one, and it says it's not recommended to put in the dishwasher, do not freeze and do not microwave. I always hand wash these things anyway so that's not a big deal for me. The base is tapered, and it's taller than most tumblers in this size, but I think that's just so it fits well into more cup holders. Quick recap:No internal seamsFunctional lid that has a slider to open/closeKeeps cold stuff cold for a good amount of timeFits into cup holders pretty well

Like all Pelican products this works very well. I have only used it for water, but it will be great for iced tea because the ice will not melt and dilute it. I'm still going to give it 5 starts because I plan on using this in my work truck, but Pelican claims it fits 99% of cup holders. A 2005 BMW 530i is not one of them.
