This case is a great way to carry a lot of gear while keeping it protected from weather and bumps. Space: This could replace two large camera backpacks or three small camera backpacks. The lid organizer is well-thought out, and the laptop holder is a good use of space. If you don't carry a laptop, you could re-purpose the laptop sleeve for cables, card cases, audio recorders, etc. I did compare this case with a Tamrac 5592 Big Wheels SpeedRoller(TM) 2x Rolling Photo/Laptop Case - Black. The Tamrac will carry more equipment, no doubt. External dimensions are almost identical, but the Pelican's indestructible latches and hinges take up space, and the internal volume suffers. With all the dividers in place the Tamrac has 3 narrow rows, the Pelican has one wide row and 1 narrow row. Some day I'll make a video comparing two (stay tuned). Rigidity: Pelican is known for their rigidity. I have stood on mine without worrying about the cameras inside (I'm 200 lbs). This is by far the most compelling reason to purchase this case - it is the best protection for your equipment and it will outlast all other soft camera bags. As mentioned above, the external rigidity does decrease internal volume. This is a necessary tradeoff for the incredible protection this case provides. Which leads me to. Protection: I can't find a single case that will protect your equipment better than this case. It will protect against bumps and dings, rain (even the monsoon variant), spills, steps, etc. Without question, amazing protection. If you want better protection from drops, you can purchase additional foam padding (Pelican 1511 Pick and Pluck Foam for 1510 Case). Convenience: The handles are big and well placed. The roller handle is easy to deploy and is strong. It rolls well across multiple surfaces, but it works best across low-pile carpet and hard floors. It is easy to open quickly. The pockets and padding are very well thought out. Can you tell I like this bag? You will too.
